History

The Beginnings of Living Hope Church:

Living Hope Church began simply in October 2007 as three families meeting together in Trim to study the Bible and share their common faith in God. The group began to grow, and met consistently on Sunday evenings in local homes. During this time, the majority of us were still attending an evangelical church in Navan on Sunday mornings. Support and encouragement for this new initiative came from Grace Bible Fellowship, Dublin, who have supported the work in Trim ever since.

As we grew, we believed God wanted us to take a step of faith and establish our own Sunday morning church service in Trim, rather than traveling each week to Navan. In June 2008, we began meeting on Sunday mornings in Trim. In addition to the Sunday morning worship service, the church was active in several mid-week Bible studies that met in and around Trim.

It was not long after that we realised that local homes were too small to host and accommodate the church, so we made the step to rent a larger premise for our Sunday morning services. In November 2008, the church began meeting at Trim Castle Hotel on Sunday mornings.

In September 2011, Living Hope Church moved into a building on Navan Gate Street in Trim, that it rents throughout the week. The building serves as both administrative offices for the church and a meeting space for services on Sunday mornings. Mid-week Bible studies are a means of meeting each other during the week and learning from Jesus together.

In 2014 we adopted a constitution and in the summer of 2015, Living Hope Church joined the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland.
